Nevada "1000"
Team Orbit took on the Nevada desert over a four day period. Starting in the 38th position out of Beatty on day one, driver Larry Roeseler and co-driver Mike Ruane made their way over the 220 mile course to finish in 16th position near Tonopah, NV. The last three days were centered around Tonopah.
On day two the course took Team Orbit on a northern loop for 330 miles outside Tonopah. With patience they finished 7th overall and held 8th place overall for the first two days.
After a slow start due to minor mechanical problems on day 3, Larry and Mike followed a 323 mile course that ran west and south. Even with a slow start, they finished the day 13th, still holding on to the 8th overall position.
On the last day they were poised to make a run at several of the trucks in front when the transmission broke in a wash outside the last pit. Special thanks go out to Jesse Jones and Scott Steinberger. After a radio call from Scott, Jesse pulled the Orbit Truck into pit 4 where the crew quickly changed out the tranny.
Team Orbit finished first in class 7200, 13th overall, and 6th in closed wheel trucks. They were the only truck in thier class to finish all four days.
